November Weekend Layout

Buenos dias amigas! Today I have a 12 x 12 layout using the November Clique Kits Main Kit Seneca Falls and the November kit cut file “Weekend” designed by Clique Kits creative team graphic designer Cecily Moore- Cecily The Paper Curator! Mixed Media Monday

Today I have a simple and sweet mixed media layout to share using the November 2018 Clique Color Kit. You can watch how I made the background and also how I put together the layout in two short videos on the Clique Kits You Tube channel here and here.

As a scrapbooker who frequently uses mixed media on my layouts I am so thrilled that Clique Kits is now providing this option as an add on to the monthly kits. You can pick up this month’s kit right here.

Halloween Layout

This is a Halloween layout using the Halloween sampler kit from my Etsy shop. A sampler kit is like a bag of swag from a variety of collections that work well together and are an economical way to supplement your stash with theme supplies without breaking the bank or ending up with way more than you need. The Halloween papers are from Paperhouse productions and American Crafts products. The common theme is plaids combined with bold and modern black and white Halloween patterns. My favorite is the cut apart journaling cards from Pebbles Midnight Haunting. The kit also includes paper and ephemera from the brand new Pebbles collection Spooky Boo.

Here you can see how I used the spider web doilies in the kit as you would use a cut file! This was kind of a time saving hack for this layout if I’m being honest!

Happy Home Layout

To create this look I used gelato water soluble pigment crayons with a waterbrush to get a watercolor wash effect. Then I used a fringe scissors on strips of paper from the Paige Evans Pick Me Up 6×6 patterned paper pad and stitched them down vertically. This layout was the perfect place for the mini weaving embellishment from the Clique Kits February release. If you would like to pick one up, use my code to save 10% GIA10

The November Cornucopia Main and Traveler’s Notebook kits are both so beautiful and honestly two of my favorite kits last year. These kits feature two different collections- the Illustrated Faith Gratitude Documented collection and the Pretty Little Studios Tales and Dreams collection-both complement and blend beautifully together! CMYK Stamped Background

Just showing this 8 1/2 x 11 layout that I posted on the Clique Kits monthly kickoff post today. This layout features a hand stamped background that I previously made in this process video using an art stamp from the Clique Kits store and the We R Memory Keepers CMYK inks.

This layout gets away from my recent pattern of doing backgrounds with a lot of white space. In fact, quite the opposite it is full of pattern, color, and layering with a tremendous amount of texture from stitching and the different textures in the art stamps. The outcome does reflect the happy and carefree mood of the layout titled “Life is Lovely”

I also used some chipboard, an embellishment that I have gotten away from using! Is there something you have been doing recently that is outside your comfort zone? I found that it really challenged me to be more creative.
